Founded in 2002, Basel is a genuinely Swiss restaurant specialized in fondues and cheese raclettes of 100% Swiss origin. Small in size, the space welcomes us between exposed brick walls in a quiet atmosphere ideal for dinners for couples or small groups.
There is no doubt that the great protagonists of Swiss gastronomy are fondues and raclettes, whose main ingredient is cheese. Although they are very popular specialties, the truth is that in Barcelona there are few places to go to enjoy them, and even fewer that offer them in an atmosphere reminiscent of the country of the Alps.
Well, for over a decade now, located between Horta-Guinardó and Eixample Dret, Basilea is an authentic Swiss restaurant that offers 16 varieties of cheese fondues and raclettes, with a wide variety of cheeses from Switzerland. The offer is completed with meat fondues, which we will enjoy accompanied by delicious homemade sauces. For dessert, of course, Swiss chocolate fondue.
